Guess who the headliner is this month?

It''s All About YOU!!!

This month we wanted our update to be all about YOU!!! Why you ask? Simply because with your help, lives are being changed FOREVER! $5 a month may not seem like much of a financial sacrifice but because of you.....

3 Sites are receiving eggs!
Hard boiled eggs are now being served at Community Child Care Centers in Rugeshi, Kavumu, and Kivumu! Thank YOU for your financial support, which has provided pre-school aged children with the protein they need to promote healthy growth and cognitive development!
Rugeshi pre-schoolers eat eggs!

Challenge....

There is an idea that there are Six degrees of separation between any two people on earth. Well, we want to test this theory! Over the next month we want you to challenge you to:
  •  Share OneEgg.org with 6 other people and challenge them to share with 6 more.
  •  Tell us about how you discovered us. Who gave you information about this program? How did you find the site? Where did you see the video?
As you submit your stories, we will share them over the next 3 months.  We will present AMAZING prizes to the person or organization who with the most connections in sharing our mission and the person or organization with the furthest connections from the initial launching of OneEgg.org.

The winners will be announced in the September Newsletter!
Submit your story via:
or through our Website.

Good Luck & Thanks for Reading the Cluck!

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO!!!

Have I only been here a week?! I've seen so much already it feels like a month. I can tell you that your support is doing amazing things for Rwanda. Here is a video of some work I did almost as soon as I got off my plane. These chicks are hope for children, their parents, employees, and future feeding sites in the area. We cannot do this without your support. Murakoze! Thanks!

Meet the Newest Member of Our One Egg FAmily!

Meet Katie!

We would like to introduce the newest addition to our One Egg family. Katie McGehee will be spending her summer as an intern in Rwanda.  She will play a crucial role in monitoring the feeding sites that you support and registering future sites to come! Her responsibilities will also include supporting our partner organization Ikiraro by assisting with the placement of new flocks and monitoring the day to day elements that directly impact egg production. Learn more about Katie and her qualifications that makes her the first ever OneEgg.org Intern!

Since she hit the campus of the U of A Katie has been active in the life of the university and her department. She has served as a member of the Associated Student Government, Sigma Alpha Sorority (for women in agriculture), Gamma Beta Phi National Honor & Service Society, Fresh HOGS mentor, Poultry Science Club, and the Crop, Soil & Environmental Science Club.

Katie has developed a deep passion to serve marginalized populations in sub-Saharan Africa, specifically the nation of Rwanda. Recently she has played a major role in the planning of Rwanda Awareness Week in memory of the genocide that took place nearly two decades ago. Katie enjoys camping, biking, and anything that keeps her outdoors! Upon graduation Katie plans to continue to work internationally after graduation, developing poultry in communities in sub-Saharan Africa and India.
